The institute is a Professional Body Recognised by law.
The Institute recognises that not all people who successfully apply management principles to the world of work are eligible for membership within the Business Management Association (BMA). For this reason, the Institute actively encourages members who have substantial business experience but who also have a good working knowledge of management and how it can be applied for the benefit of individuals and organisations, and use this knowledge in the course of their work.
We welcome membership applications from a wide variety of people. Are you:

The Institute membership reflects our move towards giving more equal weight to the knowledge of business development/management and capacity building (i.e. a relevant qualification) and the practice of business psychology and methods, models and frameworks used in social sciences (i.e. experience).

CORPORATE MEMBER
The Institute is pursuing a growth strategy: we would like to grow our membership by developing our offer for organisations such as yours. Our purpose is to drive engagement between the Business Administration and Management, Personnel Management, Learning and Development, Industrial Relations, Business Consulting, Human Resources, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Marketing or related acceptable fields, consultancies and companies in their operation, who have contributed to the development of interested in Business/Organizational Development and capacity building.
This category of membership is open to corporate organizations. Corporate bodies once conferred with corporate membership, their employees are eligible to become a member of the institute on discount rate.

Doctoral Fellow
Applicant must either be a Fellow Member of the Institute or has a high professional standing and occupy senior managerial position. Such a person must have working experience of 12 years and above in Business Administration and Management, Personnel Management, Learning and Development, Industrial Relations, Business Consulting, Human Resource, or related areas in management.
Membership Fee: N200,000
Fellowship
Applicant must either be a Full Member of the Institute or has a high professional standing and occupy senior managerial position. Such a person must have working experience of 8 years and above in Business Administration and Management, Personnel Management, Learning and Development, Industrial Relations, Business Consulting, Human Resource, or related areas in management.
Membership Fee: N150,000
Full Member
Applicant must either be Associate Member of the Institute or has a high professional standing and occupy senior managerial position. Such a person must have working experience of 5 years and above in Business Administration and Management, Personnel Management, Learning and Development, Industrial Relations, Business Consulting, Human Resource, or related areas in management.
Membership Fee: N100,000
Associate
Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in Business Administration and Management, Personnel Management, Learning and Development, Industrial Relations, Business Consulting, Human Resources, or related areas.
Membership Fee: N80,000
